The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2026. Interested candidates can apply online from 24 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 through the official SSC website. Before applying, all candidates are advised to carefully read the official notification.

Mode Of Selection
Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Objective type (MCQ) exam
- Subjects included:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning
- General Awareness
- English Language & Comprehension
- Negative marking applicable (usually 0.25 marks for each wrong answer)
Skill Test (Stenography Test)

- Candidates who qualify CBT will be called for this stage
- Dictation will be given in English or Hindi
- Required speed:
- Grade C: 100 words per minute (wpm)
- Grade D: 80 words per minute (wpm)
- Transcription time:
- English: 40 minutes (Grade D) / 50 minutes (Grade C)
- Hindi: 55 minutes (Grade D) / 65 minutes (Grade C)
